Hello hello - snow's finally melting thanks to several rounds of rain, so hopefully spring's around the corner since it's been a very cold winter for NYC.

Been working through a number of personal things that's made it hard to sit down properly to draw, so as I'm writing this I hope there's enough here to be interesting to read, but either way hope everyone's well.

[🍒] Another fun round of sticker club! I don't usually draw horses so last month's prompt was trickier than I would like to admit, but I think it was good practice. The ultimate secret goal of this club for myself lol.

Speaking of practice, I've been trying to figure out sticker sheets on my Portrait 4 and I think I've locked down the settings I like for a good kiss cut... Been going through all sorts of vinyls and laminates and whatever to optimize home production of these stickers, I'm sure there's more efficient ways to produce these but it's been fun labbing out new designs without too much commitment.

For this month, I think I want to keep up with this unintentional "lucky charm" theme that's been carried through so far, so I've decided to paint clovers for the occasion. Grew up with a lot of white clovers and I think they'd make for a cute decorative set on a mini sticker sheet, so hoping to make that real. A small preview:

On a more technical note, been trying to fuss with Shopify's subscription management backend now that I have a better idea how payment cycles work, so sorry if there's any hiccups in the system.

Gotten a few questions about this - to order more than one sticker per month, you can adjust quantity in the subscription settings on your account page in the shop. If it's easier, however, I added a three-pack sticker listing in case folks were interested. If you have an existing subscription and would like to change plans, I'd go double check you are subbed to the correct listing/quantity since there might be some weirdness there. If there's any issues, or if you'd like me to adjust your plan for you through my side of the portal, definitely let me know.

Also, I unfortunately can't tie tracking to these envelopes without shipping prices going crazy, but if stickers haven't been arriving definitely shoot me a message.

Now (due to prior limiting personal reasons) that I can speak a bit more freely about the state of things, I want to get back to making mutual fund stickers... I need to actually sit down and execute the other concepts I have in mind, but something I've been trying to figure out for a few months now:

Will try to get this (or some other version of this) done soon. Without going into too much detail (I'm not sure what's legally allowed yet lol), my partner and I's situation is considerably simpler than what others have and are going through, but everything that's been happening re:immigration and international affairs is absolutely horrific and it's sucked needing to keep our heads down about all this.

F*ck ICE, f*ck A/I, f*ck bureaucratic nonsense, f*ck this surveillance state. Take care, please look after your neighbors.

Personal updates... I'll probably go into this more in the future, but for now my partner and I can take a break wrestling immigration paperwork until further notice. I'd say I hope this frees up my schedule a bit, but knowing me my workholic brain probably won't let me rest for very long lol.

I am between jobs at the moment after wrapping a couple of contracts, so I'm hoping March will be a more personal art focused month until I (hopefully) secure some full-time employment. Very excited to see folks at MoCCA - fingers crossed I'll have some new things by then.
